Eric Liddell ran -- and lived -- for the glory of God. After winning the Olympic gold medal for the 400 meters in Paris, 1924, he dedicated himself to missionary work in China where he married and had children. When war appeared on the horizon, he put his family on a boat to Canada, while he remained behind to help, eventually becoming interned at a Japanese work camp.
