Colonel Dedov has long since retired from the military, finding his calling in the military-patriotic education of youth. But one day, an assassination attempt is made on him: an unknown assailant breaks into his apartment, and only thanks to his military acumen and self-defense skills does Dedov escape death. His situation is further complicated by the fact that he kills the assassin in the fight against the assailant. Dedov ends up behind bars. Who could the old retiree have interfered with? Is there a connection between the assassination attempt and the death of his old comrade, Yegorov? And what really happened during the military operation in Angola in 2002? To find the answers to these questions, Dedov must escape from prison.
