Alexander Volkov, a special forces soldier who has seen the horrors of war, decides to leave military service for the sake of his beloved wife Alyona and service to God. After graduating from the seminary, Volkov is ordained a priest. But the new bright path is overshadowed by the tragic death of Alyona, after which only the Orthodox faith helps Volkov to live.Having received a church parish in his hometown of Starobilsk, Father Alexander becomes a reliable support for parishioners not only from a spiritual point of view. A keen sense of justice and excellent military training do not allow the former special forces soldier to stay away when all sorts of outrages occur around.
